Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I get a quote?

Simply send an email with as much information as possible about the event, including date, venue, approximate time and an idea of how long you’d like Ruth to sing. She’ll then get back to you with availability and a quote. 

How much space does Ruth need?

A performance area of around 2 metres x 2 metres with access to 2 plugs/power points. Ruth is happy to liase with venues to discuss any matters relating to the performance space.

What about PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and PLI (Public Liability Insurance)

All Ruth’s equipment is tested annually and PAT certified. She also has Public Liability Insurance cover up to £10 million. Please just ask if you require copies of these certificates. Ruth is also a member of Equity.

Does Ruth have her own equipment?

Yes, a 300 watt PA system with speakers and a vintage style microphone. She uses high quality backing tracks for all her performances.

What time does Ruth arrive at the event?

At least one hour before the party, to set up the PA, sound check and get changed for the performance.

What about payment?

Payment can be made, via bank transfer, cheque or cash either on the day of the event or during the week leading up to the event.
